Parents and professionals

At People Matters we offer services that are person centred. Our support and opportunities aim to enable personal development , by building skills and independence. We work with adults and young people as they move towards adulthood both in the community and at home. Our people have learning or other disabilities such as being on the autisitc spectrum. Some have complex needs, others are vulnerable because they have little support from elsewhere whilst many also have the support of parents or carers.
It is making a significant difference to improving lives and empowerment that makes us different. Our work is underpinned by using the social model of disability. Recently we have been inspected by CQC and rated as good so we can support people with personal care needs as an additional service.
We offer an impartial information, advice and guidance service to members and prospective members. Our current postion statement on IAG is also available.
